Audleys Wood Hotel
The 4 star Audleys Wood Country House Hotel dates back to 1880. Its cocktail bar, for example, contains a Delft tile fireplace and17th century Oak Panelling. Not long ago all bedrooms were totally refurbished. Lush woodlands and seven acres of grounds surround it. The hotel restaurant has been awarded two AA Rosettes. Each stay will include en suite accommodation, Table d’hote dinner, and full English breakfast.

Day 1: You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy a hearty Sunday breakfast before you leave home today. We’ve included the cost of admission to Leonardslee Gardens so you can witness the riot of colour at this time of year. Whilst there, you can also visit the Dolls Museum, the Vintage Car Collection, see the Wallabies and enjoy some refreshment before we move on to our hotel.
Day 2: The next morning we will take you on a private visit to Avington Park, a stately home that is situated in picturesque Itchen Abbas. We won’t spoil your guided tour by divulging too much, but let’s just say that Nell Gwynne enjoyed her Royal connection here! Within the grounds is an unusual Georgian church, St Mary’s; its original barrel organ is in excellent condition so a short recital will be included in our guided tour. Morning coffee is included. Afterwards, we will have a lengthy lunch stop in Winchester before our homeward journey.
