Hellaby Hall Hotel
We are staying at the 4 star Hellaby Hall Hotel near Rotherham in South Yorkshire. We’ve spent several happy weekends here over the years and we now consider it the right time to offer it again. Situated in a peaceful and convenient location. All rooms are easily accessible.

Day 1: After a later departure than usual, we will proceed to our pretty little village farmhouse for an inclusive freshly prepared traditional two-course lunch instead of our usual freshly cooked breakfast! (Remember, there will also be an evening meal at the hotel.) We will then take you to spend an hour or more in Chesterfield so, amongst other things, you can visit the famous church with the twisted spire, if you haven’t already done so.
Day 2/3: One of our whole-day excursions will take us to York with the option to integrate a visit to Eden Camp if you so wish; you would simply pay the admission charge. Our Tour Escort will explain more on the day. The other excursion will take us to see the magnificent Humber Bridge and visit the vibrant city of Hull where the docks have been replaced with a marina and a modern shopping centre that sits happily alongside the old.
Hull also has the world’s only Submarium; a gigantic aquarium, shaped like a ship’s bow, that houses thirty-six types of shark as well as numerous other underwater species. Visitors are now coming from all over Europe to visit! Our Tour Escort will be able to negotiate a reduced admission charge of £5.45 if enough of you are interested to make it feasible.
Day 4: On Monday we will stop for lunch in a small Nottinghamshire town where you can opt to visit the 900 year old Minster. Regarded by many as a gem among England’s forty-two cathedrals, Southwell Minster also serves as a Parish Church. We will plan to return home by late afternoon/early evening.
